But deep down, I knew I needed to understand what happens behind the scenes—the real magic of web applications. In this article, I’ll take you through my experience, what I’ve learned so far, and why Git and GitHub are absolute game-changers in software development.

So ,Starting something new always comes with a mix of emotions—curiosity, excitement, and just a tiny bit of fear. That’s exactly how I felt when I kicked off my backend development journey. At first, the idea of version control and repositories seemed complex. But once I got hands-on experience with Git and GitHub, everything started making sense.

Thanks to our instructor Ayomide , I managed to know these things just in my first week:

understanding why version control is important in software development.

The flow, knowhow and basics of Python

Learning basic Git commands like
git init
,
git add
,
git commit
, and
git push
.

Exploring GitHub and creating my first repository.

Understanding branching, merging, and pull requests for team collaboration.

#I was surprised by how essential Git and GitHub are for every developer, whether working solo or in a team. and i saw how python is simple but a powerful language to build different things and working on out.
I’d love to hear from you.what was your first experience with Git and GitHub like? Did you find it confusing at first, or did it click right away?
